The Health Geomatics Lab (HGL) started in 2008, and has contributed to and lead a number of projects in the fields of health and geo-computation.  Current projects include health surveillance using online natural language processing, geographic redistricting for health resource allocation, and operational approaches to safe active travel.

We are affiliated with the School of Geography and Earth Sciences at McMaster University, located in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
