Formed in 2008, the Health Geomatics Lab (HGL) is a research group lead by Dr. Niko Yiannakoulias in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences, McMaster University.  Our group is interested in a variety of topics related to health, geographic information science and geo-computation.  Our work involves both methods development and application in a variety of fields, including: environmental health, epidemiology, transportation safety, crime and risk analysis.

Our office is located in the Burke Science Building, McMaster University, and we are affiliated with the School of Geography and Earth Sciences.
